Requirements for DPSA Counsellor :-

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology / equivalent qualification with Psychology as a major. Registration with professional body such Council for counsellors SA (CCSA); Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP) or Health Professions Council of SA (HPCSA) as Registered Counsellor; minimum of 12 months relevant experience; Valid driver’s license is essential. Grade 1: Less than 8 years relevant experience required after registration with the Council for counsellors SA (CCSA); Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP) or Health Professions Council of SA (HPCSA) Counsellor. Grade 2: At least 8 years, but less than 16 years, relevant experience after registration with the Council for counsellors SA (CCSA); Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP) or Health Professions Council of SA (HPCSA) HPCSA as a Counsellor. Grade 3: 16 years and more relevant experience after registration with the Council for counsellors SA (CCSA); Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP) or Health Professions Council of SA (HPCSA) as a Counsellor
